Stroll through a portion of the ranch house by just dropping by on select open house days. This is a self-guided experience for all ages, with volunteer docents on-hand to answer questions, and there is no fee.

Schedule a private guided tour of the historic Dangberg Ranch house. Tours can usually be scheduled for any day Wednesdays through Sundays, starting at 10:30 am (other times available depending on circumstances). Group size is normally limited to eight people, but larger groups can make special arrangements. No one younger than eight is permitted on the tours. Cost is $10 for 17 and older, free for 8-16, and free for Friends of Dangberg Home Ranch members. Call 775-783-9417 to schedule a tour.
The grounds are a public, day-use park, open every day from 9am – 4pm. You’re invited to visit for photography, bird watching, kite flying, napping in the shade, and other recreation. Picnic tables are available, as is a horseshoe pit (bring your own horseshoes). Reservations are not needed and there is no fee. The park is occasionally closed for private events. When cultural and other events are taking place, tickets are required (see Events page). The park is surrounded by a private cattle ranch, so proceed all the way to the gated and signed public park before leaving your vehicle.
The park is undeveloped, but toilets and picnic tables are available. Sidewalks are limited and the ground can be muddy in wet weather. Non-motorized wheelchairs are permitted inside the ranch house, but motorized wheelchairs are prohibited due to weight restrictions and limited turning areas.
Pets must be leashed at all times and pet owners are responsible for cleanup. Pets are not allowed during special events (such as concerts, Chautauqua, speakers, etc.), with the exception of certified service animals.
The historic buildings and the views of Carson Valley and the Sierra Nevada create many opportunities for great images. Professional photographers should contact us to talk about our policies and permitting requirements.
The park is located at 1450 Highway 88, just west of Minden, NV. The entrance is about ¾ mile south of the roundabout at the intersection of County Road with Highway 88.
