DESCRIPTION:Have you ever thought about leading tours at the Home Ranch?\n\n\nTours and open houses are the backbone of the public services offered at the Home Ranch. It is through these types of interactions with the public that we can communicate just how special and important this place is.\n\nIf you would like to help us show off the Home Ranch to visitors in this way\, please consider coming to our Tour Guide and Docent Training Session!\n\n\nDuring the session\, volunteers will receive training on:\n\nGiving tours\nBeing a docent during open house events\nThe history and importance of the Dangberg Home Ranch\nAn overview of the artifacts in the collection\nAn overview of how the Friends of Dangberg work with Douglas County to preserve the Home Ranch\n\nAnyone interested in attending should contact Rebecca by email (director@dangberg.org) or by phone (775-783-9417).\n\n\nThe training will take place in the ranch house. Please meet by the front door.\n\nThe Dangberg Home Ranch abides by the Douglas County volunteering policy. New volunteers may need to comply with a Douglas County background check. That process can be initiated here: Volunteer Interest Form.

SUMMARY:Volunteer Event: Spring Cleanup Day
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer with us! Let’s get the house ship-shape for the upcoming season. We’ll be cleaning the house\, inside and out\, from top to bottom! \nThe Dangberg Home Ranch will provide cleaning rags\, buckets\, brooms\, and mops. Tasks will include: Dusting\, sweeping\, mopping\, carpet cleaning\, and window washing. Volunteers are welcome to bring whatever cleaning tools they would like to contribute. Please\, no chemical cleaners! Please also wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. Assignments will be given out upon arrival. \nNEW VOLUNTEERS: If interested in volunteering for this event\, please call the office at 775-783-9417 or email us at director@dangberg.org. Douglas County encourages all volunteers to comply with a standard background check.
