Speaker – “Women Convicts of the Past”

Glen Whorton of the Nevada State Prison Preservation Society returns to the park with his presentation on women convicts who were incarcerated at the now historic Nevada State Prison.
Glen Whorton began his career as an Officer Trainee in the Department of Prisons and retired after thirty-two years of service. Whorton’s last position was Director of the Department. He has additional experience as an Army Aviator, Community College Instructor, Ombudsman for the Nevada Attorney General, and Hearing Representative for the Nevada Parole Board.
